Community Counselling Program

This Community Counselling Program offers financially accessible, anti-oppression counselling for and by queer and trans community.

Counselling is provided by interns who self-identify as members of queer and/or trans community. Interns are mature graduate students working under the supervision of an experienced registered clinical counsellor.

We accept client self-referrals as well as agency referrals.

Counselling is for adults and youth age 13+ who self identify as Two-Spirit, trans, queer, asexual, bisexual, lesbian, gay or questioning,  as well as family members and partners.

Session cost is $60/50 minute session, with sliding scale options available. Sliding scale is prioritized for trans and/or queer people who are Indigenous, Black, or people of colour; people living with disability/chronic health conditions; and other people experiencing multiple intersections of oppression.

Please note we are currently wait-listing for new clients.

Location and accessibility

Our office is located in the Chinatown area of Vancouver, BC. For privacy reasons, we do not list the exact address on this website; please contact us for the address.

The office is a wheelchair accessible, scent-reduced space. Please refrain from wearing scented products when you visit, including natural oils. While the office is scent-reduced, the building itself is not.

We are near major transit routes and bike routes, with metered street parking a reasonably priced pay parkade across the street. If you travel by bike, you are welcome to wheel your bike into my office.

The building has a non-automatic entrance door. We can assist with opening the front door upon arrival if needed. There is an elevator with sufficient space for a wheelchair. The washrooms are gendered. Each washroom has two stalls, can accommodate a wheelchair, and requires a key from the office.

The counselling office has a concrete floor with wool area rugs. There is natural lighting from a large window, and black-out curtains if needed. Seating is a sofa that can accommodate bodies of different sizes, and there are also floor cushions and a foot stool. The office is climate controlled with air conditioning in summer. Air conditioning and heating fans create a low level but persistent white noise effect.
